Q:
How long does an acupuncture session last?
A: The first session is
usually just over an hour and then each session thereafter is 45 minutes
to an hour long.
Q: What should I wear?
A: Loosely fitting clothes
are the best – depending on what you are having acupuncture for,
most people do not need to disrobe.
Q: Should I have something to eat
before my treatment?
A: Yes. Acupuncture works
with your energy, so having a snack before your treatment is important,
particularly if your treatment is in the morning, make sure you have had
a nutritious breakfast beforehand.
Q: What should I expect to feel
after my treatment?
A: Most patients feel
very relaxed and you may feel a little tired after the first treatment.
Alcohol should be avoided for the rest of the day after acupuncture.
Q: How long will it take for me
to feel better?
A: Everyone is individual
and therefore acupuncture is different for everyone. However, usually
patients begin feeling better within 2 – 3 treatments but a course
of 10 is usually recommended. Acupuncture is cumulative – each treatment
builds upon the last, so consistency is the key to success!
Q: What payment methods do you
accept?
A: Cash or checks are
accepted.
